Having topped out the roof and dry lined, work has started progressing on the ground floor rear and side extension. The plan has also now been fully opened and the seance of space can be appreciated. Unfortunately extensions always seem smaller when the foundation line has been dug. It’s not until the walls go up till you can fully appreciate how the space will feel. In my experience if you think the footings make for a large space then this will be exacerbated when the walls and ceiling go up. Time will tell however I’m looking forward to the next stage.
